    CNC Miller Opportunity / Motorsport / Contract / Oxford / Inside IR35

    Location – Wantage, Oxfordshire
    Salary - £30 - £40 PH
    Title – CNC Miller
    Length – Minimum of a 3-month contract
    Shift – Monday – Thursday (Night Shift) – 18:30 – 05:00
    Status – Inside IR35

    An enticing and growth fulfilling opportunity has just arisen with a leading Formula 1 Team. This organisation is one of the longest lasting teams on the grid and run multi axis CNC Precision machines.

    They specialise in the manufacturing of milled and turned components from a wide variety of materials (Inconel, Aluminium, Titanium etc.,).

    The business TXM Recruit are currently representing are looking for a skilled CNC Miller who ideally has experience working in the fast-paced engineering sector.

    The successful candidate will be passionate about developing a career in the Formula 1 sector, having extensive experience operating with precision components and operating to tight tolerances.


    Desired
    A minimum of 3+ years' experience with 3 axis CNC Milling
    Experience operating Siemens machinery / DMG / DMU 5 axis machines
    5+ years' experience with setting and operating
    Established experience with programming
    Key Responsibilities

    Producing key parts in the most efficient, cost-effective way, maintaining tight delivery deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of work.

    Written and verbal communication skills are important attributes ensuring accurate information is given across shifts, the department and other key stake holders.

    You will ensure that all shop floor documentation is completed as required along with accurate bookings onto our Shop Floor Data Collection software recording machine utilisation and productivity.

    Good level of knowledge manufacturing metallic and non-metallic components from aircraft grade metallics and high-quality engineering plastics.
    A strong knowledge of setting and operating Fanuc/Siemens controlled machining centres preferable but not essential.
    The ability to program manually and/or conversationally (Fanuc and Siemens) would be advantageous.
    The need to run multiple machines and plan-ahead is regularly required.
    Ideally possess a recognised apprenticeship or have gained relevant experience in a precision engineering environment

    Be able to demonstrate a good depth of machining knowledge both CNC and Manual in a low volume, high accuracy, fast paced prototype environment.

    A high degree of flexibility, self-motivation, team ethic and initiative are critical for success in this role.

    A willingness to work extended hours on occasion
