    Tipton Green Junior School is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and knowledgeable SENDCO.

    The role will involve working alongside all staff to ensure that all SEND pupils are fully supported and have opportunity through specific support to flourish. As part of the responsibilities, our SENDCO will also work closely with parents / carers and external agencies to provide a team around the child approach. This will also involve working with special schools and supporting transition to secondary schools for some of our SEND pupils. You should be devoted to ensuring that our SEND children are fully supported to reach their potential.

    The post will also involve some teaching commitment across the week that can be discussed depending on the teaching experience of candidates applying for the post.

    As a SENDCo in our Trust you will:


    • Be an excellent, fully qualified teacher with an understanding of how to achieve high standards

    • Have achieved the National Award for SEN Coordination or a willingness to undertake it

    • Have experience of working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs

    • Be caring, compassionate and understanding of the needs of our children and families

    • Demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills

    • Be committed to inclusive practice and believe that every child will succeed

    • Work effectively as part of the teams within school and across our Trust

    • Be driven to have high expectations of yourself and others
