    Description
    Product Development Engineer - Permanent Position


    This role, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and Technical Director, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the development of cutting-edge products from concept to market release.

    This organisation works across a number of key industries including military, construction and nuclear having built strong relationships and reputation over a number of years.


    conceptualisation and design of new products, working closely with the Engineering Manager and Technical Director to align designs with strategic objectives.


    • advanced CAD software (e.g. Solidworks) to create a detailed, precision-engineered product design
    • the development of prototypes, coordinating with manufacturing and testing teams
    • thorough testing and validation of prototypes.
    • collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including process engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality assurance, and marketing, ensuring alignment with overall project goals.
    • update managers on project progress, challenges, and proposed solutions.
    • materials and manufacturing processes to ensure optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
    • with procurement to select cost-effective materials without compromising quality.
    • closely with regulatory affairs teams to obtain necessary approvals.
    • with the departments across the company to identify cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards.
    • detailed documentation of design specifications, test results, and project progress.
    • participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas to enhance product development processes, reduce time-to-market, and improve overall efficiency.
    HND in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.


    • experience in product development within the engineering or manufacturing industry.
    • in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other relevant design tools.
    • understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
    • with regulatory standards and certification processes.
