At Wye Valley NHS Trust, we are offering an exciting opportunity to join as a Band 7 Delivery Suite Co-ordinator.

The position advertised is a 12-month fixed term position, with a view to extend. If after 12-month the position does not remain available, there will be opportunity to move within our service.

We are looking for a passionate, motivated, highly skilled Midwife to take on the challenge of co-ordinating a busy maternity unit and working alongside a well-established team of coordinators, midwives and medical staff.


Our band 7 post offers excellent all-round experience in a progressive environment for experienced midwives with the potential for individuals to develop a full range of leadership skills.


  • To work as an integral member of a multiprofessional team promoting, planning and implementing midwifery practice developments in line with the Trust's objectives and midwifery strategy as well as take a lead role with particular focus/ working groups.
  • Support the Head of Midwifery/Deputy Head of Midwifery and Senior Managers in the execution of their role.
  • Monitor and manage clinical workload to ensure the effective deployment of manpower. To include the formulation and responsibility for the offduty rota for ward/area/ department as appropriate. Safeguard that annual leave does not exceed acceptable percentage of absence.
