At St Cyril's we are committed to delivering effective services, solutions and bespoke packages working collaboratively with our MDT (Neuro Rehab Consultants, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists) to meet the needs of our patients and aim to re-able them towards their individual goal of optimum independence.

We are looking to recruit new staff to enhance our team.


Requirements for Kitchen Assistant
Food Hygiene Certificates

Good communication skills

Team player

Enhanced DBS (Paid for)


Responsibilities for Kitchen Assistant
Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of meals.

Participate in Staff and Client meetings as required.

Maintain and improve professional knowledge and competence.

Attend mandatory training days/courses, on or off site, as and when required.

Wash up after meals.

Ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately, and that the overall cleaning of the kitchen area (and, where appropriate, the dining areas and client kitchens) is carried out effectively.

Ensure statutory Health and Safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas.


Report immediately to the Home Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Client, colleague, self or another.

Understand, and ensure the implementation of, the Care Centre's Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures.

Report to the Home Manager, or the Handyperson, any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment or any potential hazard.

Promote safe working practice in the Care Centre.

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff wear masks, temperature taken on arrival, Lateral Flow tests, PCR taken weekly, sanitising stations, ppe
