    Job Title: Practice Manager – Dispensing Optician/ Experienced Optical Advisor

    We are a thriving independent Optometry practice in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, who is looking for another talented and ambitious DO or experienced optical advisor to join our management team. We are a highly motivated team of clinicians who aim to provide our patients with the best in eyecare and in eyewear in a fun and positive environment. This role will be multi-faceted and will include all elements of running a successful Optometry business including dispensing high-end products, reception duties, supporting clinics with optometric imaging and practice administration.

    Job Summary:

    As the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional patient care, and maintaining a positive and professional work environment. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a prosperous Optometry practice.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Leadership and Team Management:

    · Provide strong leadership to the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

    · Supervise and support staff members

    · Carry out regular 1-2-1s

    2. Clinical Excellence:

    · Ensure that the practice consistently delivers exceptional clinical care and adheres to industry standards.

    · Collaborate with our team of optometrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.

    · Be confident to dispense complex prescriptions, high end frames, materials and myopia care lenses.

    3. Operational Management:

    · Oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice, including scheduling, inventory management, and customer service.

    · Implement and maintain efficient processes to optimise patient flow and ensure a seamless experience for our customers.

    4. Customer Service and Sales:

    · Continue to cultivate and deliver our culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring that every patient receives personalised care and attention.

    · Assist patients in selecting the very best spectacles that meet their visual needs and style preferences.

    Pre-requisites:


    • Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within an optician practice.


    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead and motivate our wonderful team.


    • Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for providing an outstanding patient experience.


    • Strong knowledge of optical products, including high value spectacles and lens technology. (Training will be provided to enhance your knowledge and skill set in high value fames and lens technology if needed.)
