Redditch - Permanent - Full Time - Salary £23-25k per annum

We are excited to be working with an established company in Redditch who are looking for a new member of their Finance team.

In this role you will be assisting the senior finance team with production of monthly management accounts.

You will also be supporting the Purchase Ledger through the month with posting invoices and chasing debtors (including liaising with solicitors).

It will also involve assisting either the Senior Finance Manager or Financial Controller in the production of ad-hoc reporting.

This role would suit someone who is ambitious and keen to learn, this company would offer a study package to the right person.

It would be a fantastic position to learn and grow within a company.

Day to Day duties as a Finance Assistant will include the following:

  • Assist the month-end process (accruals, pre-payments, analysis & review)
  • Required to ask the Debtor for Payment
  • Chase debtors through the month, including customers assigned
  • Liaise with solicitors to understand status of legal claims
  • Purchase Ledger with posting invoices or fitter payments
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Analysis work in relation to Screwfix
  • Work with the finance team to become a business partner to all other departments
  • Any adhoc work as requested by Directors or Group Personnel (including CFO)

As a Finance Assistant, you will need the following qualities & experience

  • Ambitious and keen
  • Experience working with excel at an intermediate level
  • Experience using Sage would be preferred but not essential
  • Degree qualified would be desirable
  • Self-Starter
  • Ambitious to progress
  • Willingness to support and learn
  • Good communicator
