With the continued success and growth of the company, we're now on the lookout for a Graduate Geophysicist.


Location:

The opening applies for any of our offices in the UK and Denmark, such as Copenhagen, Vejle, London or Bristol, based on local terms and conditions.

There may be some travelling in Europe, North America or Asia in relation to your work. Opportunities for short or long-term postings abroad may be a possibility.


As a Graduate Geophysicist, your main objective will be to provide high-quality geophysical support to our clients in the offshore wind industry.


Areas of responsibility

  • Assist in the scoping, contracting, coordination and management of geophysical site investigation activities and collation of information for all phases of an Offshore Wind Farm site development (seismic, seafloor and UXO).
  • Input into the development of 3D ground models, including the interpretation of seismic data sets and the integration of geotechnical data (borehole, CPT and vibrocore data) for both wind turbine array and export cable route zones.
  • As part of a team, conduct geohazard identification and risk assessment.
  • Support the preparation of geophysical technical reports.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure the efficient exchange of knowledge.

Your background

  • You thrive in a multidisciplinary, international environment and speak and write English fluently.
  • You have an interest in and basic knowledge of geophysical datasets (e.g. seismic, sidescan sonar, and magnetometer).
  • You have demonstrable knowledge of geological processes and their implications in a wider context.
  • You should have a strong drive and take the initiative and responsibility for your assignments through proactive, independent work, and you should be motivated by creating excellent results through teamwork.
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with clients and other consultants effectively
