Python Developer, Django, Backend

£40-60k + benefits

London / Hybrid Remote

We are seeking a talented Python Backend Developer to join a medtech AI scale-up as part of a small, red-hot scrum team.

You will be a problem-solver who is committed and analytical, keen to learn while always being delivery minded, a self-starter for whom everything is possible but the best solution is always the most appropriate one.

The company launched in 2016 and is growing rapidly, building something big whilst at the same time nurturing individual goals and ambitions.

Required:

Django Rest Framework or related frameworks, e.g. Flask, FastAPI or similar
ORM either Django or SQLAlchemy
Python Unit Testing frameworks and TDD practices
Cloud Infrastructure, ideally AWS
Git

Nice-to-haves:

Deeper understanding of PostgreSQL
Understanding of CI & CD
Experience working in small teams and startups
Knowledge of frontend technologies such as Vue or React
Experience handling sensitive data e.g. PHI

The Back end Developer role:

Scale the infrastructure to meet global demand
Refactor code into libraries and frameworks for reuse
Proactively respond to analytics to ensure products are robust and meet users' needs
Support the gradual introduction of ground breaking ML research into the platform
