Madison Hunt is partnered with a highly regarded Sovereign Wealth Fund to hire an Investment Director to lead the origination and execution of infrastructure investments across Europe, based out of the UAE.

With a strong financial backing, the fund has built a high performing team and impressive portfolio of assets across digital infrastructure, renewable energy and transportation to name a few. As the fund continues to regularly invest, there is a need to hire a senior infrastructure investment professional with a proven European track record to play a key role originating and executing large ticket sized transactions across all infrastructure asset classes in Europe.

The Principal will:

• Report directly to the Head of European Infrastructure, leading the origination and execution of investments in Europe.
• Regularly interact and liaise with top-tier funds , bankers and industry professionals in Europe to generate investment leads.
• Manage a small team on a deal-by-deal basis to conduct valuations and due diligence of investment opportunities.
• Oversee preparation of memos and lead the presentation of deals to the Investment Committee.
• Liaise with investment partners and attend Board meetings as and when required.
• Lead portfolio analysis, monitoring and reporting whilst providing regular updates and recommendations to the senior management and Investment Committee.
• Provide training and mentoring to junior members of the team when needed.

Interested candidates must:

• Be currently sitting in a Senior Vice President / Director (or equivalent) position in an Infrastructure Investment team or fund.
• Have a proven deal track record investing in the European infrastructure market across a variety of asset classes.
• Be currently working in a leading financial centre such as London or wider Europe.
• Possess a strong and all-round technical skill set with excellent commercial / business mindset.
• Hold a finance, mathematics or related degree from a top-tier university and whilst not essential, an MBA or CFA qualification is preferred.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
• Be a self-starter and excited by the opportunity to live and work in the UAE with long term career opportunities.
