    The Role

    As the Head of Finance, you'll have the opportunity to wear many hats and work operationally within the business.

    You will be primarily managing and continuously improving the finance function within the business. Utilising your FinOps background, you will be responsible for working cross-functionally to ensure there is considerable financial sophistication applied throughout the business.

    As the Head of Finance, you will:

    • Provide full-stack finance leadership to the organisation. In addition to ensuring proper controls and cost management practices are implemented, you will also incorporate your strong understanding of FP&A and financial modelling to benefit business decisions.
    • Support the development and implementation of financial strategies to support the organisation's overall business objectives.
    • Sleeves up - this role means working at pace, and leading the charge on the day-to-day FinOps of the business
    • Champion an automation mindset throughout the finance, legal, and operations departments, always looking for the best way to automate repetitive tasks and/or reports.
    • Be the first point of contact with external fractional finance, legal, and compliance partners.
    • Fix problems - it's a fast paced environment, and things need to get build. Things alsoget broken, and they need to be fixed. This role will be operational by nature and will be an ideal fit fora natural problem solver

    Experience and Skills Required

    • You have 6+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting and have been directly responsible for overseeing a growing finance function, ideally in consulting, industry, and start-up/scale-up environments.
    • You're comfortable working across a range of finance systems like Xero, Dext etc. and you're excited tolearn about newtools that will further enhance and streamline financial reporting
    • Exceptional FP&A understanding and experience in building complex and sophisticated financial models.
    • Strong ability to interpret decisive narratives from financial data and modelling, and effectively communicate findings to key stakeholders.
    • You have demonstrable experience of being a proven strategic, creative, and flexible leader, able to identify and implement new ways of working, seize unexpected opportunities, and encourage and develop these skills in others.
    • You have created a finance business-partner-centric team with multiple areas of a business (tech, commercial, etc.) and are passionate about making finance approachable and outward-facing.

    Salary

    £90,000-115,000 per annum salary (based on experience)
