SF Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer for our Nottingham based client. This is a full time permanent role.

Reporting to the Buying Director his is a great opportunity for somebody looking for a chance to progress with a fantastic company.

This new position within the company would ideally suit someone currently in a Junior Buyer/Buying Assistant role who is ready to take the next step with support from Senior Management team.

Main Duties:

Developing new products across multiple existing categories
Supplier visits within the UK and abroad
Monitoring the performance of new products and liaising closely with Supply Chain to ensure sufficient stock coverage
Working closely with other departments including Technology, Quality Control and Sustainability to ensure new products meet the needs of the wider business.
Creating KPI reports for the senior management team

Essential

Previous Purchasing Experience within Furniture or Home Furnishings is essential
Excellent MRP and computer skills
Overseas Sourcing
Attention to detail
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
