    Position: Head of Buying (12 month FTC)

    Timing: End June

    Reports to: CEO

    Position Description:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the (12 month FTC) role of Head of Buying at Wyse London. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing buying strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives and leading and managing our Buying and Garment Tech teams to implement these.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Member of the Leadership team defining and setting the Company strategy working closely with the Founder, CEO and Heads of Design, Merchandising, Marketing and Finance/Operations.
    • Develop and implement product strategies to deliver company KPI's; sales, margin, returns
    • Range strategy set with Heads of Design and Merchandising identifying growth/decline categories, key style/fabric planning, attribute planning and identifying trials/future opportunity.
    • Obsessive need to review and understand performance. What and why something is/isn't selling and returning. Curious and questioning taking learnings into future range build and fits of garments.
    • Customer lens building a balanced, exciting, and commercial range with understanding of the Wyse customer and trading calendars across markets (UK & US) and channels (online and instore)
    • Working closely with Design and Marketing to ensure ranges deliver on customer calendar and needs and are communicated clearly and with conviction.
    • Market leader for your areas - demonstrate a fresh perspective and a market leading point of view to oversee the curation of the range.
    • Agile approach to range building, constantly reviewing and re-reviewing existing and future ranges based on internal data, customer insight and the external market/trends. Driving trade on a daily and weekly basis, chasing into strong reactions and relentlessly seeking new ideas.
    • Lead range selection/sign off process with Founder and CEO.
    • Lead and manage Buying and Garment Tech Team, reviewing processes and ways of working and identifying improvement opportunities to ensure efficiency and accuracy in delivery of the range.
    • Ensure company and department information is communicated effectively to team through weekly meetings.
    • Actively manage team performance by setting objectives and regular 121's to ensure maximum productivity.
    • Lead and manage all aspects of the product critical path to achieve product as required on time taking into consideration the multi product lead times and various sourcing avenues.
    • Manage Supplier relationships, identify the need for new Suppliers, onboarding, negotiating contracts and cost prices to achieve required margins.
    • Represent the brand with integrity and authority at all times, being a true brand ambassador.
