- Provide advice to the governing board and its individual members on governance, constitutional and procedural matters, ensuring the board meets its statutory requirements;
- Provide administrative support to the governing board, its committees and individual governors to facilitate effective and efficient meetings and strategic governance;
- Make an accurate record of governing board actions and decisions via concise and accurate minutes;
- Manage information effectively and in accordance with legal requirements, observing confidentiality where necessary;
- Facilitate and co-ordinate the induction process for new governors and promote governor training, succession planning and recruitment based on the skills required to fulfil the governing boards' three key roles.

The Board of Governors and Headteacher of Seaton Primary School are seeking to appoint a Clerk to Governors to support the Governing Body.
Key responsibilities include:
You must have excellent attention to detail, the ability to compile accurate minutes and to manage a fluctuating workload, whilst demonstrating outstanding IT, organisational and communication skills.
You shall attend approximately 15-18 meetings per year which are held in the mornings or evenings during term time.We will offer:
