    Here at Yeovil College, we have an exciting opportunity for an College Engineering Technician to join our growing Engineering department.

    You will support in ensuring effective and efficient operations for the Engineering Curriculum area ensuring an environment conducive to 'outstanding' learning whilst presenting a professional environment to visitors.

    Working with groups of learners and staff to maintain and develop workshop skills, resources and professionalism.

    The role will involve complying with health and safety rules and procedures at all times and actively contributing towards such practices, including updating and maintaining Safe Working Procedures, conducting risk assessments while conducting yourself in a manner that shows respect for others and is within college policy with particular reference to Health and Safety policy and procedures and Equality and Diversity policies.

    liaise with relevant members of staff within the College to raise necessary purchase orders for materials and equipment in line with budget and waste targets.

    Please note this role will involve fulfilling a First Aid role and a Forklift license is desirable, full training will be provided if an appropriate first-aid certificate is not held.

    Knowledge and experience of engineering sector.
    Qualified to level 3 in a related engineering topic or willingness to work towards.
    Full time, 37 hours per week, all year round.
