    We have an exciting opportunity for a Wintel / Sr. Wintel Engineer in our Global IT Team. As a key part of the infrastructure discipline within the IT Ops function in Inchcape, you will be responsible for working with all elements of the ISS IT Team this including helpdesk and application support teams as well as development teams as a rd level of escalation. The Role delivering projects such as mergers and acquisitions, greenfield setups, cloud migrations and equipment refresh. While also maintaining/monitoring the Existing applications and server environment in place.

    Key Accountabilities

  • Support and administration of MS Windows Server in the cloud.
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • ublic DNS maintenance (including, rd party tools, and route preferable)
  • Support Microsoft apps and services (Example: Office, SharePoint, Intune, Autopilot, Defender)
  • Experience working with Dev Ops processes.
  • PowerShell scripting knowledge.
  • Experience Troubleshooting skills for applications.
  • Experience Writing Technique documents for Management and Monitoring of systems.Solution design and documentation
  • Manage solution design with rd party suppliers.
  • Manage relationship with rd party suppliers, service health, SLA'S etc
  • Experience maintaining system registers.
  • Azure tenant administration - Subscription management, IAM, billing.
  • Azure Active Directory - AAD Connect, Identity and Access Management, MFA, Conditional Access
  • Azure Disaster recovery and Business Continuity - Azure Backup /Azure Site Recovery
  • AWS tenant administration - Subscription management, IAM, billing, cost management/optimisation
  • AWS VPC Administration and network topology including VPN's
  • AWS Load balancer Administration
  • AWS Storage Administration (S)
  • cloud health/reporting experience
  • AWS cloud watch.
  • AWS Back-up techniques and methodology
  • AWS Disaster recovery techniques including Cross regional Replication
  • AWS patch management – experience of the tools AWS uses for Patch management.
  • AWS EC
  • An understanding of Cloud networking principles and related
  • Azure components (VPN / ExpressRoute, VNet topology, Azure Firewall, NSGs, Routing etc.)
  • laaS / PaaS monitoring
  • Infrastructure As Code (laC) - ARM templates and DevOps pipelines
  • Backup Software various - on premise and cloud.
  • Management of O including SharePoint, OneDrive and Exchange
  • Work within strict change management structures to comply with standards.
  • Work with Helpdesk ticketing response system.
  • Maintain inventory of servers/equipment/systems both physical and virtual.
  • Providing new/increased storage to LUNs, Physical & virtual servers
  • Ensure completion and optimization of daily backups & test recovery
  • Ensure DR procedures and processes are followed, tested and kept up to date
  • Maintain, Improve & optimize documentation, processes and procedures within Infrastructure
  • Costing of cloud services as directed by Senior engineers or Infrastructure Manager
  • Create, submit and implement infrastructure changes in accordance with the Change Control procedure
  • Be familiar with standard concepts, best practices and procedures with a particular field
  • Make effective use of existing and new technology to support and enhance global service delivery
  • Work and co-operate closely with the global team of helpdesk support analysts as well as Development and software engineers
  • To provide escalated support to any level of user whilst on-call
  • Assist to manage risks and track issues.
  • Desirable skills
  • Microsoft O experience would be desirable
  • AWS ECS experience
  • Rabbit MQ experience desirable
  • AWS Scripting techniques primarily terraform.
  • Grafana knowledge
  • SQL Server on premise and cloud.
  • Management of Exchange in Hybrid mode between on-premise and O
  • Cloud telephony skills.
  • Microsoft Licenses understanding and managing.
  • The post holder will carry out any other duties as are within the scope and purpose of the job as requested by the Line Manager and ensure full utilization of all ISS systems according to Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Experience with dealing with all levels of management.

    · Willing to work unsociable hours and be part of the on-call rotas.
