    Unify are delighted to be recruiting for a Electrical manager for a well-established and highly regarded London based contractor who are looking for an Electrical Manager to join their successful team.

    The company prides itself on its ability to deliver excellence to clients, both in terms of communication and workmanship and this individual must exude the same work ethic and passion for the job.

    Reporting directly to the Project Manager and Managing director, this individual, will head up the electrical division of the business.

    Ranging from simple repair and maintenance jobs to complex project work for both commercial and residential property, this individual must have the ability to undertake cyclical maintenance and inspections EICR'S and price any resulting remediation works. For the right individual there is an opportunity to grow and build the division, developing and growing the client book and scale of work.

    The role will be primarily focussed around London and M25 but may require travel outside of these areas for specific project work on occasions.

    General Information

    • Experience working in Property maintenance is an advantage.
    • Work assigned daily.
    • Projects generally in the London area but occasionally expected to travel outside of London, where travel and accommodation costs will be met by the client.
    • Starting salary 50-60k plus van and fuel card.
    • Holiday Pay.
    • Uniform and PPE provided.
    Job Summary

    Managers must have knowledge of the most economical and effective layout of electrical installations together with the ability to achieve a high level of productivity in the work which they control. They must also be able to apply a thorough working knowledge of the National Working Rules for the Electrical Contracting Industry, the current IET Wiring Regulations for the Requirements of Electrical Installations BS7671, of the Electricity at Work Regulations, the Electricity Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulations, or any Regulations dealing with Consumers' Installations which may be issued, relevant British Standards and Codes of Practice, and of the Construction Industry Safety Regulations.

    Role & Responsibilities
    • Manage and supervise large and smaller site installations alongside project management team to effectively plan and put to task site team members, manage project delivery progress including materials and labour management.
    • Create a working relationship with the client and all 3rd Party Sub-Contractors to provide site management and excellent support to the project management team.
    • Management and control of site work standards delivering works to an exceptionally high standard, within and adhering to technical standards and offering engineering solutions throughout.
    • Plan, Complete and Manage Test, Inspection and Commissioning of completed works.
    • Carry out validation/surveys providing detailed and comprehensive information to allow for accurate quotations to be provided by project management team or detailed reports to be issued.
    • Capable of reading, understanding and working from drawings, diagrams and specifications and able identify and offer engineering solutions that comply with the technical requirements of the work.
    • Attend and contribute to site meetings, Health & Safety meetings and take a lead approach to H&S standards on-site.
    • Verify and sign off Certification of completed works.
    • Responsible for taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other people who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work. Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and the companies ISO:45001 Standard.
    • Responsible for ensuring that waste is disposed of correctly in accordance with companies Environmental ISO:14001 Standard.
    • Adhere to Quality Processes and Procedures in accordance with the companies Quality ISO:9001 Standard.
    • Implement and act in accordance with the company Information Security procedures.
    • Protect assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference. Report security events or potential events or other security risks to the organisation.
    • Any other project related duties as required by the Company Directors.
    Skills Required
    • Demonstrated exceptional ability and knowledge in all aspects of electrical engineering.
    • Ability to communicate clearly with Clients, Colleagues, Managers & Directors and have a technical input to ongoing project works Ability to work using own initiative, as well as organise and plan teams of engineers including 3rd party sub-contractors.
    • Ability to train and mentor colleagues.
    • Organised and motivated with the ability to work unsupervised whilst training others.
    • Driving Licence Full UK Licence.
    • SP Code offences allowable. DD Code offences not permissible – authorisation from Insurance Company required (If driving own vehicle and not insured by company, above not applicable).
    • Qualifications and Experience Required
    • NICEIC qualified with minimum 10 years' experience in the industry with a demonstrated ability. Must have sufficient site and practical experience of all aspects of electrical engineering.
    • Experience working with in property maintenance preferred but not essential.
    • Black/Gold CSCS/JIB card.
    Must satisfy the following conditions:
    • 1) Must have fully met the requirements of the grade of Approved Electrician.
    • 2) Must have had 10 years' experience working as an Approved Electrician subsequent to the satisfactory completion of training and immediately prior to the application for this grade.
    • 3) Managerial/Supervisory
    Must have at least 10 years in a supervisory capacity in charge of electrical installations of such complexity and dimension as to require wide technical experience and organisational ability
