Clerk of Works - Leeds, United Kingdom - TSA Surveying Ltd

    Default job background
    Full time Administrative
    Description

TSA Surveying are actively representing a substantial employee-owned property consultant who are looking to appoint a considered addition into their Midlands Quality Control team.

Predominantly, they employ project managers as well as building & quantity surveyors. However, they are looking to expand their range of services aligning with their development plan. A sizable focal point of their strategic vision is building up and developing their Quality Control department. This is because they have recognised the trend in the market and now have an increasing demand for Quality Control and Clerk of Works services.

As part of their plans in 2024, they are looking to bring in a technical individual with a keen eye to detail. The selected asset will be responsible for driving quality focus and growth across closely associated revenue streams such as Building Regulations, Building Safety and Fire.

The consultant possesses an established client base so the initial development will be centred around maintaining pre-existing relationships, acquiring contracts, and providing an excellent service.

The company in question has just under 1000 employees and has a turnover more than £150million, they are now aiming towards their next phase of growth to get to £250million turnover by 2030.

This position would be suitable for someone who desires the support of a significant well-known trademark and wants to develop their skillset working closely with key decision makers. The benefits from the individual's efforts will be compensated by receiving access to a profit share scheme.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

    • Measuring and quality checking building materials
    • Monitoring progress and reporting to construction managers, architects, and clients
    • Liaising with contractors, engineers, and surveyors
    • Preparing written reports
    • Performing regular inspections of the work, materials and products on site and comparing completed work with drawings and contract specification
    • Checking that building regulations, health and safety, legal and ecological requirements are met.
