Overall responsibility for the performance of the Hybrid Infrastructure Practice from initial pre-sales engagement through to transition into service.


The role will work closely with other strategic practice leads, portfolio management and product management to ensure performance and growth of the practice.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work with product management and direct reports to create and deliver the strategy for Hybrid Infrastructure.
  • Accountable for ensuring that the practice meets revenue and margin forecasts. Identifying challenges in meeting targets and working with direct reports, Sales, Portfolio Management and Head of Delivery to identify opportunity to close any gaps.
  • Provide mentoring and leadership to direct reports to ensure that strategic capability plans are achieved, managing, and resolving any risks and issues to the plan.
  • Act as Hybrid Infrastructure point of escalation for presales, governance, delivery, and transition both from a team, wider SCC, and customer perspective.
  • Ensure that the whole team understand and are engaged with the SCC UK and Digital Workplace strategy and are living our values.
  • Be a key part in identification and growth of the Hybrid Infrastructure, inputting into design forums and being part of the evolution of our products and services.
  • Ensure productivity targets and performance KPIs are achieved with a focus on continually improving and moving the bar up.
  • Ensure that the right mix of FTE, contractor and thirdparty capability is available. Work with Product Management and direct reports to identify the triggers for creating capability in house.
  • Work across the whole team to provide mentorship and motivation to the team, creating a culture of inclusivity.
  • Accountable for creating predictive forecast views for the practice, understand and communicate patterns in demand and feeding these into forecasting process, and identifying potential offsets to dips.

Key skills & experience:


  • Experience of managing, motivating and influencing diverse teams (presales, governance, delivery)
  • Strong communication skills, able to motivate, direct and influence teams and customers using data to support and opinion and drive perception
  • Experienced at managing finances at a practice level and completing forecasting cycles.
  • Understanding of the Digital Workplace, what this means and the key customer challenges and technical solutions in this space
  • Strong relationship building and management skills both with internal and external stakeholder
  • Able to adapt style to different stakeholders
