The Telecom Rigging Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of rigging technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure on telecommunication towers and other structures.

The individual will be responsible for ensuring that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.


Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and supervise a team of rigging technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure.
  • Plan and coordinate work assignments, schedules, and resources to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess work requirements and ensure that all safety and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Use rigging equipment to lift and position heavy equipment, materials, and components.
  • Install and terminate cabling, antennas, and other telecommunication equipment according to specifications.
  • Inspect and test installed equipment to ensure proper function and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment faults and malfunctions.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment serviced.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Qualification Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role in telecommunications rigging or a related field.
  • Knowledge of rigging equipment and techniques.
  • Ability to climb telecommunication towers and structures to perform work.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications equipment and infrastructure.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to work at heights and in outdoor environments in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent IT skills with Microsoft Office and data entry knowledge

  • Understanding of the New Roads & Street Works Act 1991(NRSWA), trainings might be required.

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to visit and inspect construction sites, which may require climbing ladders or stairs, and working in confined spaces.
