Search Construction is looking for a Technical Designer / Architectural Technician to work with an office fit out contractor on a freelance basis for an initial four month period.

This role will include working alongside their creative design team to generate in depth technical and construction drawings. The project is an office refurbishment over five floors based in Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities:

Creating a set of technical and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
Taking a General Arrangement Plan and adding design details.
Liaising with the client to pull out design details.
Organising statutory approvals such as Building Warrant and Landlord Consent.

Required Skills & Experience:

34 years experience using AutoCAD.
Have a proven track record of understanding design proposals and creating technical drawing packages to support these designs.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

This is a freelance role for four months but could be extended should they continue to pick up contracts. They are happy for someone to split their time between the office and home.
