Responsibilities
- Applies technical expertise on complex components or projects with mínimal supervision.
- Translates customer technical profile and interface constraints into a practical component or assembly level model and drawing. Integrates aerodynamic designs into component design.
- Applies technical knowledge to package designs into various installations. Participates as a key contributor and is accountable for project success.
- Demonstrates depth of knowledge of engineering discipline(s) and leverages expertise on other projects.
- Troubleshoots complex problems and recommends appropriate actions. Works collaboratively and proactively with other functions (such as FE Analysis teams) to ensure a robust design outcome.
Skills Must Have:
- Degree in relevant engineering discipline with a minimum 5 years relevant experience.
- CAD design experience (Creo)
- Understanding of fundamental design principles & toolsets (DFM, DFA, DFMEA, design in context)
- Familiarity with product design life cycle management (PLM) particularly in concept development
- Good communication skills are required.
- Demonstrates advanced level of component design to include Castings and Finished parts Design
- For Manufacturing And Assembly
- Performs design for manufacturing and assembly at an advanced level.
- Design Variation Analysis
- Applies DVA as needed to develop a robust design Product
- Data Management
- Ideally exposure of Windchill
- Selfmotivation, time management and proactive prioritisation essential
- Strong people skills and the ability to work with a wide range of individuals
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Problem Resolution Techniques (e.g. 8D, Six Sigma)
- Windchill experience (training can be provided on specific setup
