    Our Patient Meal Service team based within the Catering Team of AGH Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is going through a period of change, and we are now looking for a colleague to join us as a Catering Assistant - Picker and Packer, this role is fundamental to our service, and one where you will be responsible for the picking and packing of our regeneration trollies with our patients meals.

    When you aren't packing the meals, other tasks include stock rotation, prepping of food items for the following services, putting deliveries away, as well as cleaning down your area along with the freezer, further information on the role can be found in the JD.

    Full Training along with PPE will be provided, but please be aware, that this is a time critical post, and one where you will be working within a freezer at times of the day.

    PLEASE NOTE:

    To be considered for this role you will need to be over the age of 18, this role will also require you to be working at times within a freezer.

    The successful candidate will be required to undertake training which will be initially 2 weeks Mon-Fri.

    Main duties of the job

    To ensure the Company's statutory regulations regarding hygiene, food safety, health & Safety and cleanliness in the kitchen and ancillary areas are complied with.

    To provide high personal standards of performance, hygiene and appearance.

    Operating and cleaning the dishwasher machines, and other large and small equipment and ensuring the standards of hygiene and cleanliness of all washed items meet the requirements of the departmental policies and procedures.

    Carrying out all the cleaning duties as agreed cleaning procedures and practices.

    Ensuring a high standard of personal hygiene.

    To report accidents and near misses within 24 hours.

    Prepare salads, vegetables and sandwiches in a manner which meets the required departmental standards.

    Serving meals to patients, ensuring that foodstuffs are effectively replenished and the standards for presentation and quality are maintained and portion sizes are kept within agreed tolerances.
