Description

This is a business support and sales role, with responsibility for assisting the Solutions Team and leading on EUC, infrastructure, and hybrid transformation opportunities.


The role will include vendor management and engaging in sales activities and collaboration, aimed at promoting and discovering solutions opportunities both in Phoenix's existing customer base and prospects.

Building an understanding of the technologies in Phoenix's compute, virtualisation, cloud, and storage ecosystem to identify and undertake process enhancements to improve and increase our solutions offerings is also part of this role.

This role will be mainly focused on Dell Technologies and VMware solutions.


The main responsibilities are:

  • Understand vendor programs to collate and provide all relevant information to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor training programs to ensure compliance with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Sales and target reporting
  • Developing processes to ensure compliance, collaboration, and efficiency within Phoenix to the benefit of both our business and customers
  • Understand the full value of the transformation solutions Phoenix Software currently offers
  • Understand the full value of certain key vendors business proposition and product lines, such as VMware, Dell Technologies etc.
  • Understand the full value, business proposition and product lines of various ecosystem partners.
  • Champion focus technologies within each of the Phoenix sales teams, work with sales staff to raise awareness and increase the identification of relevant opportunities
  • Assist with the creation of solution proposals and internal marketing and training material
  • Work with the Phoenix sales teams to track and trace solutions opportunities via D36
  • Manage and develop Teams channels to keep all stakeholders informed of activities and updates
  • Assist in the promotion of Phoenix Software and our capabilities
  • Maintain accreditations in the relevant technology areas
  • Understand the various procurement programmes and be able to articulate to the Phoenix sales teams the best way to leverage these to make maximum margin and rebate on our deals
  • Participate and be a positive contributor in team meetings, discussions, and other activities
  • Support objectives as defined in the company's information security policy
  • Perform your tasks in support of data and information security
  • Maintain vendor portals
  • Maintain records relating to vendor sales activities and training records
  • Assist with forecasting opportunities and managing solutions prospects within D365, ensuring these are up to date each week
  • Handle sales pricing requests for products managed by the Solutions Team
  • Manage and report on product support renewals
  • Track and manage sales incentive programs
  • Manage existing and create new administration processes in line with internal and vendor requirements
  • Assist with the delivery of sales and technical sales activities to achieve the business targets

Ideally, you will already have:

  • An IT background with a basic understanding of infrastructure solutions
  • A willingness to learn and understand new processes, programmes, and technologies
  • Ability to make things happen, mobilising and motivating others to deliver on personal, company, and shared goals
  • Persistence and resilience in seeing tasks through to closure
  • Selfmotivation and selfsufficient; able to manage your own time and workload
  • A creative approach, looking to find innovative ways to overcome project obstacles
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key sales and support employees within Phoenix and within vendors
  • 12 years of IT experience
  • Minimum one year working within an IT sales role
