The Penrallt Country House Hotel are looking for friendly, warm and engaging waiter and waitressing staff to join the expanding team.

Your role will be to greet customers and welcome them into the hotel in a polite and friendly manner, offering your assistance where required and directing them to the reception or seating them in the restaurant, lounge, or bar areas.

You will then proceed to offer restaurant menus, answer any questions about menu offerings, process food and drink orders, carrying food and drinks from the kitchen/ bar to tables, and prepares bills and processing payments.

Server Job Duties

• Set up the restaurant with all glasses, cutlery, flatware etc.
• Prep/side work, to make sure that everything set ready for each service and replenish as required throughout service.
• Welcomes customers when they arrive at the Hotel/restaurant/bar and seat them
• Takes customers' orders for food and drink orders and then enter them on the till
• Passes customer orders along to kitchen staff for preparation
• Prepares drinks and serves them to customers
• Collects food orders from the kitchen, verifies that they are correct and serves them to customers
• Ensures that customers are satisfied with their meals and processes orders for additional courses if necessary
• Remove used dishes, glasses, and flatware from tables
• Prepares bills and delivers them to customers
• Process cash and credit card payments and return change to customers if necessary
• Set tables with dishes, glasses, and flatware and refills condiments
• Maintain familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information
• Assisting kitchen with plating and garnishing menu items as needed
• Meet with managers and Head Chef daily/regularly in order to learn about menu changes and specials as well as discuss upcoming reservations and customers with special needs
