Description

Acoustiguide has been at the forefront of producing audio and multimedia tours for well over half a century, as well as providing the hardware and equipment for visitors to enjoy them. We have an extensive list of clients from Museums to Art Galleries, to Castles and Visitor Attractions who rely on us on a daily basis to provide the best service to bring their sites to life. As Head of Operations you will be the first point of contact for our clients to help make this happen.


We are looking for a very good communicator, with a flexible approach who also has excellent organisational skills. A customer service / account management background would also be an advantage.

  • Working in our Central London office you will report to Head of Engineering assisting them with day to day admin tasks of the Department.
  • Give operational support to existing clients with regards to the audio guides we supply and associated equipment.
  • Organise and manage equipment installations and logistics organising equipment delivery and collection by liaising with couriers, managing all aspects of the process. Ensure the installation runs smoothly and without issue. Keep in constant contact with the client for their reassurance.
  • Support Engineering Dept. with Data Collections and some cleaning maintenance when visiting site.
  • Collate and run Data Collection / Stock Take reports using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office 365 programmes. These give clients the relevant information about how often the guides are used, which stops of the tour are the most popular and which languages are used most often.
  • Oversee the planning, budgeting and inventory control of hardware and parts making sure there is enough stock at all times for repairs to be carried out.
  • Work with the Head of Engineering to research and identify parts suppliers and handle parts purchasing
  • Organise delivery of supplies when needed and collect faulty audio guides. Organise delivery of repaired audio guides back to site.
  • Liaise with Head of Engineering with regards to Engineers. Book and organise relevant training courses and coordinate logistics for client site visits, including booking flights and hotels and train tickets etc.
  • Manage supplies for UK Office across all departments making sure all employees have the tools to do their job. Order new stock when needed from external suppliers.
  • Send out new and repaired audio guides and charging racks, as well as other supplies like headphones, cleaning spray etc. using local, national and international couriers.
  • Organise electronic recycling collection every month / 6 weeks
  • Visit client sites when needed and attend meetings.
  • Produce PO's when purchasing items and fill in Purchase Order No. spreadsheet.
  • Be prepared to lift / help lift boxes of devices / charging racks
  • Manual Handling training will be given
  • Working days are Monday to Friday but some out of hours work / overnight stays maybe required when visiting various sites.
  • Take on any other duties when needed.
  • Full training will be provided.

Essential

  • Have a very good standard of written and verbal English in order to communicate with our many clients both electronically and face to face.

Desirable:


  • Experience of working in an Operational / Account Management environment,
  • Experience in working within the Museum and Heritage sector.

Salary:
£30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
