Your job

The Role
Senior Claims Specialist Property (Senior Claims Adjuster) Based in London Offices. You will report into the Chief Claims Officer.

Overview

The Claims Specialist in the Adjusting team is an important role in our growing Claims Department and will direct all aspects of file handling on both in-house and third-party administered property claims, with growth opportunity in depth of technical handling and multi-faceted professional development.

The Claims Specialist will also direct the adjusting and litigation process, partner with counsel, experts and vendors, and lead claim resolutions.

The Claims Specialist will analyse and determine coverage, manage the claim investigation, evaluate the claim, communicate promptly with all partners, and pursue recoveries and risk transfer were warranted in multiple property claims.

Responsibilities

Investigation and assessment of claims for coverage, and damages, and pursuit of recoveries and subrogation/contribution opportunities.
Indepth understanding of coverage issues, policy forms, contracts, regulatory requirements, and changing legal landscape for Liability/casualty claims.
Prompt management of claims, considering all aspects with a strategic vision for claim outcome.
Ongoing evaluation claim to set appropriate, reserves over the life of the claim to reflect changes in exposure.
Demonstrate technical claims proficiency through execution of best claim practices.
Manage outside counsel and vendors to obtain optimal claim outcome.
Present high exposure claims to Claims Leadership and Important partners.
Collaborate with internal and external partners for client meetings, product development and improvement, and account audits.

Profile:

Experience

10 years plus experience of U

S Property Claims:
casualty and auto/cargo (physical damage) lines.

Strategic in decisionmaking.
Understanding of technical claims proficiency and execution of best claim practices.
Ability to collaborate with other departments and vendors.
Customerservice and relationship oriented.
Thoughtful and dynamic mindset.
Good verbal and writing skills for internal and external communication, presentations and reporting.
Good logical thinking and advocacy.
