    Job overview

    We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable individual with good communication and interpersonal skills to join our friendly and dedicated team in Pharmacy Technical Services at Singleton Hospital.

    As Storekeeper you will be responsible for managing the delivery and receipt of all drug orders into the department and managing the Pharmacy Technical Services stores.

    The ideal candidate will be flexible towards the needs of the service, conscientious and a team player with the ability to be an accurate, methodical worker with good attention to detail.

    Main duties of the job

    As Storekeeper your main duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Receiving, unpacking and validating deliveries based on official orders, and booking stock onto the pharmacy computer system.
  • Ensuring appropriate stock rotation.
  • Recording and documenting the receipt of unlicensed/specials in accordance with department policy.
  • Distributing and, where required, delivering of products to wards and departments.

    Detailed job description and main responsibilities

    Previous Pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential. No formal qualifications are needed but you will be required to work towards and obtain the Certificate in Pharmacy Services Skills (NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services), using the in-house training provided, and be committed to continuous professional development.

  • 5 GCSE grades A to C or equivalent (inc Maths and English)
