The Vacancy
Binnies an RSK Group Company is looking for Civil Engineers to join our @one Alliance.
What will you be doing as our new Civil Engineer?
Working as a talented civil engineer within a multi-disciplinary project team, you'll provide the civil engineering technical capability and design expertise to develop and deliver water and water recycling solutions.
Key responsibilities:
Production of civil designs, calculations and specifications to 'Issued For Construction' standard for water, wastewater or pipeline projects, liaising directly with CAD technicians to enable production of either 3D models or 2D drawings.
Working within multi-discipline design teams to produce designs which are on time, within budget and meet the required standards, liaising with stakeholders including Operations, contractors and suppliers along the way.
Drive excellence in Health and Safety in design by eliminating hazards and reducing risks during design whilst complying with Alliance CDM procedures.
Progress projects from feasibility stage through detailed design to construction.
Undertake site visits to assess current condition of our assets for feasibility studies, reports and provide survey data for integration of the asset into our design solution.
Provide support to update existing, and increase the number of, Standard Products that are used within our design solutions on a repeatable basis.
Identify and promote opportunities to meet the project digital, sustainability, innovation and people objectives.
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours....
To join us on the team, ideally you'll hold a minimum of HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or demonstrate a suitable level of experience in Civil Engineering. With demonstrable experience in undertaking design of various civil engineering structures within the Water and Waste Water Industry, you'll be comfortable in using MS office suite and relevant engineering design software packages, and confident in the utilisation of British Standards and Eurocodes. You will have the ability to interpret ground investigation reports to enable you to design the correct solution.
You'll be accustomed to communicating with a range of people as you collaborate to meet, and exceed, stakeholder expectations. Your strong reporting writing skills and data analysis capabilities will allow you to understand our challenges and enthusiastically suggest enhanced ways of working.
