    Position Overview:
    We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Heathrow Airport.

    The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair, with a keen attention to detail and a passion for ensuring the reliability and safety of airport vehicles.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy vehicles, including but not limited to, HGV's, baggage tractors, aircraft tugs, fuel trucks, and ground power units.
    • Diagnose mechanical issues and develop effective repair solutions to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
    • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and pre-emptive maintenance requirements.
    • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including parts inventory and service history.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

    Qualifications:
    Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.

    Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.

    Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment, including computerized diagnostic software.

    Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

    Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and clients.

    Relevant certifications or qualifications in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair are advantageous.
