Travel Account Manager - German Market

Overview:

Our client is an established and fast-growing Destination Management company with offices in the UK and Ireland. They are looking for a quick thinking Travel Account Manager for the German speaking market in their Edinburgh office.


Benefits and pay range:

- £dependent on experience. Permanent, Full Time Position.

  • Fri 9:00am 5:30pm
  • Edinburgh based

Responsibilities and Duties:


  • To undertake FIT client reservations in an efficient and a focused manner, while ensuring reservations are accurate and responses to clients are timely
  • Relationship building and management with prospective and existing clients, delivering first class customer service
  • Using Tourplan reservation system while quoting programmes and rates to new and existing clients
  • Ad hoc administrative tasks assigned by manager
  • Hotel and service reservations, maintaining strong supplier relationships
  • Periodic out of hours emergency phone coverage
  • Assisting with environmental and responsible tourism initiatives

Requirements and Qualifications:


Essential:


  • A good knowledge of the UKwide inbound tourism industry products is essential
  • Excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail
  • Excellent customer care and communication skills
  • Team player able to work in a busy environment
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office

Desirable:


  • Fluency in written and spoken German
  • Some experience of handling VIP and/or luxury FIT accounts
  • Experience using Tourplan
  • Travel & Tourism degree or relevant travel industry experience
