    We have an exciting opportunity to join our Therapies Department in the dynamic 1st floor (orthopaedic) team as a full time Occupational Therapist (Band 6).

    The team covers both Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge General Hospitals working across elective and emergency orthopaedic surgery and our regional elective surgical hub working closely with our multidisciplinary teams.

    We are looking for enthusiastic candidates to come and join us and can support flexible working requests. The team have an office base on each site, and assessment space available to them.

    The post holder will have the opportunity to gain experience in working across our busy Surgical and Orthopaedic wards.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join our senior occupational therapy team looking to provide opportunities to develop band 6 skills across a number of clinical settings.

    There are opportunities to engage in training and development, innovative practice and service development.


    You will have professional support for your CPD from the Clinical Lead OT (Band 7) and support other Senior Occupational Therapists.

    The post may also require working with the other inpatient therapy teams to provide senior therapy support.

    Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
    Graduate Diploma or BSc Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification recognised by HCPC (or student Occupational Therapist with qualification pending)
    Core Rotations as a Band 5 Therapists in a range of core areas: Orthopaedics, Medical or Frailty Inpatient, Neurological Rehabilitation

    Basic computer skills

    Experience supervising junior, students or nonqualified staff
    Active collection of relevant CPD in portfolio

    Well developed theoretical knowledge under pinning Occupational Therapy practice
    Knowledge and experience in hospital computer system
    Ability to be flexible and adaptable in order to support others and needs of the service
