    Job summary

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a very busy Hereford & WorcestershireChild and Adolescent Mental Health Service requiring flexibility, problemsolving skills and a desire to make a difference. This is a multidisciplinaryteam consisting of Consultant Child psychiatrists, RMNs, psychologists andFamily Therapists. You will be part of the eating disorder service, inputtinginto clinical pathways and supporting Children and Young People experiencing aneating disorder whilst providing specialist advice and consultation on systemicformulations and practice to CAMHS colleagues. The post holder will be a qualified systemic psychotherapist,providing specialist systemic psychotherapy services to children, young peopleand their families and consultation to the professional network bringing asystemic perspective to all aspects of the work. You will have a proven abilityto liaise and work in collaboration with other relevant agencies according tothe needs of the young person.

    Main duties of the job

    Identify, analyse, and interpret complexclinical facts.

    Work autonomously and as a member of themultidisciplinary team providing generic and specialist systemic psychotherapyassessments, therapy, care planning and interventions.

    Provide specialist advice and consultation on systemicformulations and practice to CAMHS colleagues and in family therapy teamworkwith own workplace.

    Represent Family Therapy atstrategic level meetings within and across agencies on issues relating tofamily therapy.

    Take responsibility forinitiating and coordinating the work programme for the Family Therapy Clinicwithin own workplace.

    Contribute to clinical teams,both multidisciplinary and undiscipline through the development of appropriateand collaborative care plans.

    Job description

    Job responsibilities

    Providespecialist mental health and specialist systemic psychotherapy and familytherapy services to the CAMHS Eating Disorder Service and CAMHS team,participating fully in the work of the multi-disciplinary team and bringing asystemic perspective and expertise to all aspects of this work.

    Providegeneric and specialist systemic assessments of clients and their familiesreferred to the service, based upon the appropriate use of specialist clinicalskills with clients, family members and others involved in the clients care.

    Beresponsible for implementing a range of systemic psychotherapeuticinterventions for individuals, carers, families, adjusting and refiningsystemic formulations as appropriate and drawing upon a wide range of models,approaches and techniques within systemic practice and maintaining a number of provisionalhypotheses.

    Attend team MDT, formulation, clinical supervision; providespecialist systemic consultation, advice and guidance to other professionals.

    Person Specification

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • Entry level masters equivalent dual qualifications and experience
  • First post-graduate qualification in appropriate mental health/
  • social welfare profession , social worker/nurse/psychologist or AFT agreed equivalent plus
  • Masters qualification in Systemic Psychotherapy or AFT accredited equivalent (usually 4 years academic study, assessed clinical training and supervised practice including the full range of models within systemic practice and life span development)
  • Eligible for UKCP registration
  • I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to very my qualification at point of offer.
