Description
Provide day to day supervision and coordination of Learning and Development at Wirral University Teaching Hospital. Develop electronic learning solutions (videos, web page content and e-learning packages) in collaboration with WUTH trainers.


This will include:


  • Coordination of training and development including leadership programmes and large scale events
  • Oversee the day to day administration of training activities, providing office supervision and deputising for the team leader
  • Ensure trainers are sufficiently supported to schedule and deliver training
  • Staff queries are answered in a timely way and staff are able to access training
  • Training activity is recorded efficiently
  • Oversee coordination of the training eLearning inbox
  • To design and develop high quality, fit for purpose elearning produces and support implementation using appropriate software.
  • To provide advice and guidance on the design and lead on the development of elearning solutions, requested by Managers with agreement from Subject Matter Experts.
  • To support the development of clinical elearning solutions, in consultation with clinical leads.
  • To evaluate, update and maintain existing elearning products in a timely manner, in accordance with Trust policies.
  • To input and maintain data on the Oracle Learning Management System, inputting completion records following Trust protocol.
  • To plan, film and edit training information and promotional videos for various trust departments and divisions, with publication to the Trust's YouTube channel.

Although English and Maths at level 2 is not required for the role, it is a requirement to complete the apprenticeship and need to be in place by the end of the apprenticeship.

If you do not hold or cannot evidence English and Maths at level 2 then support will be provided for the successful applicant(s) as part of the Trust's apprenticeship offer.


Whilst this role is being advertised as a permanent position, there is an expectation that the successful applicant must complete all elements of the apprenticeship.

Initially, the successful applicant will be placed on a fixed term apprenticeship contract for the duration of the programme.

Upon completion of the apprenticeship and providing all additional milestones are met, the successful applicant will be issued a permanent contract.
