We are currently seeking an Assistant Design Manager focusing on Rail projects (Electrification & Plant).This position is a hybrid role, based out of the Blackfriars office with opportunities for remote work and occasional site visits.
As an Assistant Design Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful development of pre-construction work.Your responsibilities will include assisting in the development of schemes through design and pre-construction activities, collaborating closely with customers, stakeholders, design partners, suppliers, and delivery teams.
You'll work towards delivering high-quality solutions within set financial targets, while fostering a collaborative culture throughout the project team.The ideal candidate will have:
A proactive approach to identifying and implementing innovative solutions.
Strong communication skills, NEC3 knowledge, and contract administration abilities.
Previous experience managing design programs and ensuring quality, commercial performance, and adherence to schedules.
Technical proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Project and construction industry practices.
A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience), with aspirations for professional membership with a relevant institution.
