    A Product Rationalisation Manager plays a critical role in optimizing Experian's product portfolio and ensuring that it aligns with the organization's strategic objectives and market demands.

    The role reports to the Product Rationalisation Director and is accountable for liaising with clients within assigned business verticals (e.g. Banking, Financial Services, Telcos & Utilities or Mid Markets), to support successful client migrations to the latest versions of Experian products and deliver associated business benefit to Experian


    Job Responsibilities:

    Delivery of Outcomes:
    Accountable for delivering Experian's strategic objectives of 1) Ease of doing business, 2) Innovation Acceleration, 3) Reduction of Risk and 4) Margin progression.

    Whilst the Product Rationalisation Manager may not be personally responsible for the delivery of the aforementioned, they are accountable for working across the Experian matrix to ensure associated business outcomes are delivered.

    This includes but is not limited to internal technology teams and product teams.

    Programme Planning:

    Defining the optimal sequencing of product migrations on a client-by-client basis, to the ensure minimal client disruption and maximum client / Experian benefit.


    Client Negotiation:
    Working with clients, where appropriate, to explain the need to migrate to the Experian target 'end state'. In some cases it may not be practical or appropriate to negotiate with every client in a business vertical. The Product Rationalisation Manager is responsible for defining and operating an appropriate client communication, contact and negotiation strategy.

    Programme Execution:

    Managing a programme of work, both internally and externally, to ensure migrations are successfully delivered to clients along with associated Experian benefit case benefits.


    Communication and Collaboration:

    Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, marketing, service and sales, to ensure client communications are managed effectively.


    Risk Assessment:
    Evaluate potential risks and challenges associated with product rationalization and develop strategies to mitigate and track these risks.

    Stakeholder Communication:
    Effectively communicate product rationalization plans and decisions to internal and external stakeholders.

    Compliance:
    Ensure that product discontinuation and related actions adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.

    Cross Business Demand Planning:

    Ensure that supporting business functions this includes but not limited to Change Management, Service Transition and Client Communication have planned the demand to their functions based upon the Product Rationalisation Roadmap.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications & Experience

    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in an IT, business, or product related subject

    Experience:
    Extensive experience of delivering operational / IT change to clients. Strong client management skills, with a proven track record of delivering programmes to time, cost and quality. Broad understanding of the markets Experian operates in and associated Experian products.

    Broad understanding of the technologies that underpin Experian products and services and in particular how these are used by Experian clients.

    Ability to be resilient, and positive, in the face of adversity to deliver tangible business outcomes.

    Strategic Thinking:
    Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

    Analytical Skills:
    Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to make informed decisions.

    Communication:
    Excellent communication and presentation skills.

    Leadership:
    Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

    Product & Market:
    Broad Knowledge and understanding of the Experian Product Portfolio. In-depth understanding of the industry, market dynamics, and emerging trends.

    Financial Acumen:
    An understanding of financial principles, including cost analysis and budget management.

    Influencing and Negotiation:
    Experience in a role that has required both the successful delivery of i) delivering outcomes by influencing across a matrix structure and ii) client negotiation.

    Project Management:
    Minimum of 5 years project management skills and ideally a proven track record of oversee product rationalization initiatives.

    Adaptability:
    Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and evolving business strategies.
