    Come and join us as a Process Operative at our Ewhurst site in Surrey

    About the Role

    As a Process Operative you will be trained to monitor our machinery which helps us manufacture bricks from raw materials which are then used in construction and form the backbone of the building industry.

    It's not just about making bricks though; it's about being hands-on, working independently, becoming an expert on the machinery, supporting each other, and producing quality results.

    Duties also include:

    • Monitor and adjust kiln, dryer and handling systems
    • Respond to and deal with any kiln, dryer, or handling system alarms
    • Read/record gas and electricity meter readings
    • Grease kiln/dryer fans (and other associated areas)
    • Conduct checks on kiln/dryer fan belts
    • Complete various quality tasks
    • Provide machine operator cover on various machines
    • Report and coordinate any faults/repairs to the maintenance team
    • Forklift driving

    You will be given full training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to make sure you can work safely and effectively.

    Hours of Work: to on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern

    About You

    You'll enjoy working in a busy environment where you can roll your sleeves up and get hands-on.

    You'll be flexible and able to adapt to the different daily priorities in the factory which help us run efficiently.

    Safety is our biggest priority, so you'll be committed to safe working and have good general safety awareness.

    You'll be fit enough to perform your duties, which are varied, and sometimes physically demanding.

    You'll also have

    • Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting with automated machinery
    • Excellent time keeping
    • A can-do attitude
    • Good team working skills
    • Ability to work unsupervised
    • Current / valid RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS or CPCS forklift truck license
