Job Introduction

Lucion Ground Engineering specialises in the provision of high quality geotechnical and geoenvironmental ground investigation and associated professional services to the civil engineering, construction, housing, environmental management and financial sectors throughout the United Kingdom, from its base in Peterborough.

We are looking for a highly motivated and versatile graduate to join our team as a Graduate Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer

Role Responsibilites:

1. Field Operations: Conduct and oversee the company's fieldwork activities.
2. Data and Report Management: Help in preparing data and reports alongside project and senior staff.
3. Project Coordination: Manage project resources, including suppliers and subcontractors, to meet project timelines efficiently.
4. Project Understanding: Grasp the project's goals and reasoning.
5. Technical Proficiency: Utilize software and technical documents to assess data and achieve project outcomes.
6. Safety Compliance: Follow stringent health and safety standards set by the company.
7. Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and enhance knowledge of geo-environmental laws and conceptual design.
8. Communication: Maintain professional interactions with all team members and stakeholders.
9. Project Evaluation: Assess sites for tender considerations and conduct desk studies.

The Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in geology, or geoenvironmental related qualification
• A strong understanding of UK geology and geographical awareness
• Clear written and oral communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• A proactive approach to problem solving and customer care
• Ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure
• Flexible working as determined by the requirements of the company, with travel around the UK, often with extended hours (overtime will be paid)
• Full UK driving licence
