    Job summary

    An exciting opportunity has arisen to work across the Bradford district and Craven Health and Care partnership to lead a project focussed on increasing the quantity and improving quality of clinical placements. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse team including the Assistant Director of Workforce and Chief Nurses from across the health economy, the role is key to improving patient care by supporting delivery of the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan.

    Advertised as either a secondment or fixed term contract for 12 months at WTE (30 hours per week), the role is suitable for a registered clinician with an demonstrable interest in practice education and system working.

    Main duties of the job

    The BdC Placements project is focused on supporting the delivery and expansion of practice-based learning placements across the Nursing, Midwifery and the Allied Health Professions across the Bradford, district and Craven health and care system. The project forms a key component of the wider BdC workforce priority programme which looks to create a workforce that provides excellent health and care services to the population of the district.

    Working closely with colleagues including the Assistant Director of Workforce, the BdC Workforce Programme Manager and workforce, education, and clinical leads from across the system, the post holder is responsible for supporting placement providers to develop the quality and quantity of all healthcare placements. This will include leading projects to increase placement capacity and quality in specific sectors of the partnership (such as social care and primary care) and utilizing data to identify areas of focus.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in a specialist area relevant to the role
  • Recognised healthcare professional qualification
