JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently recruiting for a Tank Rigger / Erector with extensive experience in the Oil, Gas, and Chemical industry.

Purpose / Role

• To provide a high-quality plating construction service in line with project/company standards
• To support company goals and schedule
• To ensure work is completed safely with no negative impact

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prime duties and Responsibilities
• Slinging materials for movement inside and outside tanks
• Safely erecting, using, and dismantling tank staging and jacks
• Using rigging/slinging techniques for handling materials
• Erecting tank floors, shells, and roofs
• Recognizing and using cranes efficiently
• Preparing sites for rigging/lifting operations
• Conducting equipment inspections
• Developing basic lifting plans
• Working in hazardous/confined spaces and at heights
• Prioritizing safety of self and colleagues
• Assessing risks before starting work

QUALIFICATIONS

• Essential:
• Documented evidence of competency
• Banksman certification
• Slinger certification
• CCNSG safety passport
• Two years of rigging experience
