We are currently looking for a Control Software Engineer to join an engineering solutions provider who specialise in the design and manufacture of test machines. You will be joining a small but highly specialised team of eight full time staff soyou will need to be well organised, flexible and have the ability to work unsupervised and in return will be given the opportunity to add real value to a successful business.

The role will be based at their offices working a four day week (Mon-Thurs

The salary range is based on an experienced Engineer with the relevant skills, however graduates with exposure to programming will also be considered at the appropriate salary levels.

Responsibilities of role to include:

Write code to interface with proprietary embedded control and data acquisition system as well as other manufacturers' devices (motor drives, process controllers, data acquisition cards etc)

Write high quality, maintainable code

P roduce documentation to a professional standard.

Assist with on-site commissioning and training.

Skills Required to include:

-
Degree educated (or equivalent) in Engineering, Software, Electronics etc:

-
Developing software solutions ideally for closed-loop electromechanical systems

Knowledge of one or more of the following software languages: Visual Basic, C, C++, C#, on standard PCs or embedded systems

-
Understanding of Analogue and digital electronics, sensors, actuators and interface signalling devices

Control and measurement instrumentation and data acquisition hardware - using RS232/ RS485, Modbus, Ethernet etc

Embedded software development
Atmel microprocessors, D/A and A/D converters

PLC control systems SCADA system design & development.

£40,000 - £50,000 (dep on exp) + Benefits
