    My client is a globalmarketleading manufacturer and supplier of cuttingedge clinicaldiagnostics equipment assays and reagents that are usedinternationally for the screening and monitoring of variousdiseases in the areas of Oncology (Multiple Myeloma) DiabetesHemoglobinopathy and other rare pathologies

    Tasks

    Keyresponsibilities of the Area Sales ManagerImmunology & Autoimmunity ClinicalDiagnostics:

    • Achieveagreed sales and profit targets for instrumentation andreagents
    • Responsible for managing anddeveloping growth for my clients business and for coordinatingcompany activity within a designated territory for both activecustomer accounts and prospective accounts
    • Toidentify key decision makers and stakeholders across each accountand effectively implement our sales cycle to ensure positive tenderoutcomes
    • Responsible for all communicationsbetween personnel and the customer and for ensuring new productimplementations go smoothly
    • Develop demand forand adoption of new assays andinstrumentation
    • Work closely with internalresources to develop and implement customer specificstrategies
    • Identify and inform the CommercialManager and Product Manager of competitor activities or customertrends within the territory
    • Monitor and managecontract compliance often engaging with Managed ServiceProviders
    • Proactive assistance in tenderprojects working closely with my clients personnel to developtailored proposals
    • Awareness of and proactiveadaption to local changes to customer structure includinglaboratory networking and consolidation procurement hubs anddevelopments in clinical care and commissioningpathways
    • Maintain diary schedule and managecustomer information in the CRM (MicrosoftDynamics)
    • Deliver product and scientificpresentations to customers focusing on how the solution can addresstheir establishedneeds

    Requirements

    Therequirements of the Area Sales Manager In VitroDiagnostics:

    • Thesuccessful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of proven NHSdiagnostic sales experience selling instruments and/or assays orreagents ideally in the field of In Vitro Diagnostics(IVD)
    • This could be specifically in productareas such as Autoimmunity Immunology Pathology Clinical ChemistryOncology or Capillary Electrophoresis
    • You couldalso be a customer focused industry based ApplicationsSpecialist/Technical specialist who wants to progress into sales ORa commercially aware Biomedical Scientist in the NHS who wants tocarve a career in diagnostic sales
    • Knowledge ofImmunology Serum Protein Electrophoresis HB screening or HbA1cwould be a big advantage
    • You will have a BScDegree or HND in a life sciences subject ideally this would be inareas such as Biomedical Science Genetics MolecularBiology
    • Experience in negotiating and managingcontracts both directly and as a thirdpartysupplier
    • Experience in managing the submissionof successful tender proposals
    • Experience indealing with multiple customers and ability to manage VIP customerrelationships
    • Demonstration of strongteamworking especially in a matrixenvironment
    • Proven experience in IT skills. (MSword Excel Power point use of Microsoft DynamicsCRM)
    • Strong oral and written communicationskills
    • Ability to travel and stay away fromhome when required
    • Full and ideally clean UKdriving licence and validpassport
