We are seeking a teaching assistant looking for exciting opportunities to support Year 5 children. The school is based out of Leeds, LS27 area and you will be supporting children of ages between 9-10. This is a full time position with the timings between 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday).

The school strives to establish a learning community where individuals elevate self-awareness, distinguish morality, and abide by laws. The aspiration is to stimulate responsibility, initiative, and constructive community engagement, all while cultivating cultural appreciation and democratic respect.


Roles & Responsibilities:
...- Offer guidance and aid to Year 5 children during lessons and activities.

  • Support the teacher in organising classroom materials and preparations.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive classroom environment and behaviour management.
  • Engage with small groups or individual children to provide additional assistance.
  • Assist children in developing skills like reading, writing, and maths.
  • Help supervise children during various activities, including breaks and lunch.
  • Cultivate an inclusive and secure classroom atmosphere, ensuring all pupils feel valued and nurtured.

Requirements:


  • Past involvement in a similar position
  • Possess an Enhanced DBS check or ready to acquire one through Randstad
  • Exhibit patience and strong time management capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Dedicated to cooperative efforts with the school and colleagues
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship
