    Description
    We are searching for a School Chef to join a dynamic team starting September 2024. This is a permanent contract with an annual salary which can be negotiated at interview.

    The School Cook will work with a small team to prepare nutritious and appealing lunches for students, catering to diverse dietary requirements.

    30pm, Monday to Friday, only during term time, offering a competitive salary. Uphold a consistent and high cooking standard, encompassing food preparation, cooking, presentation, and serving.
    Ensure timely completion of daily food preparation duties.
    This school uses A food prepared company called Apitito, so there's the weekly ordering of this also.
    Maintain food temperature control standards.
    Plan meals, order food and ingredients promptly, monitor stock, and manage deliveries effectively.
    Collaborate with the school council and Senior Leadership Team to develop menus.
    Provide an afternoon fruit snack daily for Early Years pupils.
    Adhere to Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, quality, and general procedures.
    Maintain kitchen cleanliness by promptly cleaning food areas and equipment.
    Serve refreshments as required for students, adults, and visitors.
    Dispose of food waste and rubbish in designated bins for collection.
    Stay flexible and ready to perform additional duties as necessary.
    Delivering high-quality cooking by preparing healthy and delicious meals to meet various dietary needs.
    Familiarity with Food Hygiene, Health & Safety Regulations, and best cleaning practices.
    Understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection.
    Previous cooking or kitchen experience.
    Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.
    Willingness to engage in school-provided training and development opportunities.
