About Iglu:
Key Responsibilities:
This role will join the Product team, which is a mix of product owners, designers & analysts who are responsible for improving the customer & business facing online products.
- Work with product stakeholders to create a clear and compelling vision on desktop and mobile across all of Iglu's products & brands,
- Execute on projects & initiatives in alignment with the Product team's tactical and strategic goals,
- Work closely with user research and design teams to understand users' needs, mindsets and segments,
- Able to drive forward product roadmaps using qualitative & quantitative data and communicate roadmaps across the business,
- Conceive and implement experiments geared towards driving conversion growth.
- Collaborate with the product designers to ideate and build prototypes for new features,
- Participate in team scrums and sprint planning, define and prioritise tasks (in a set framework), and groom the backlog,
- Be the point of call and take full ownership within the business for your product area,
- Always have a focus on the KPIs that you will be working towards. We encourage ownership at Iglu,
- Understand and champion online ecommerce fundamentals when designing & shipping features to the site,
- Ensure that our customers are able to find the right cruises & prices based on different user personas & customer needs,
- Understand the commercials of the business and keep commercial priorities and campaigns as a key consideration on the product roadmap.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 4 years of experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager shipping product features directly to customers that deliver measurable results,
- Experience building and optimising websites, keeping user needs, business goals and SEO best practices in mind,
- Experience working with qualitative and quantitative customer insights and capturing these insights via different methods,
- Has run a high volume of AB tests/MVTs and has worked on a conversion optimisation programme within an organisation,
- Demonstrated ability to develop deep customer empathy and articulate customer problems,
- Experience using a project management tool such as Jira, prototyping tools like Figma & user experience analytics tools like contentsquare/full story,
- Knowledge of all Agile principles,
- Demonstrated experience using data and analytical skills to help solve problems and make decisions,
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with a talented team of engineers and designers,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders,
- Is a logical thinker and communicator that can simplify complex problems and clearly communicate to bring.
'Nice to have' experience:
- Experience working as a Product Owner in the travel sector,
- Experience working in a business with a call centre and online ecommerce platform,
- Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL,
- Experience working with a voice of customer programme within a company,
- Understanding of the cruise market.
