JOB DESCRIPTION
I am an 11 year old girl and live at home with my family in Hawick. I have complex needs

and require full support with all my personal care and other aspects of my daily needs. I

am looking for someone to spend time with me after school on 2 or 3 days each week,

for around 4 hours each day.

I love music, going to see the horses, being out for walks, baking and playing on my iPad.

I use a wheelchair and a hoist for all transfers. You will also help my mum get me ready

for bed in the evening. My mum will give you full support with all aspects of my care, and

further training can be provided.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Spend time with me doing some activities when I get home from school. This

might include helping me with some homework;

Help me to build my confidence as I can be anxious;
Attend to any personal care needs, including continence care and getting me ready

for bed;

Assist with my medication administration;
Set up my bipap machine before letting me settle to bed for the night;

Full training will be given with all aspects of my care, and a period of close
**shadowing will also be provided.

Hours of Work

I am looking for 2 or 3 afternoons after school, and alternate Sunday afternoons;
Hours preferred are 4.30p.m until 8.30p.m.
Specific days to be discussed, and can be flexible around your availability.

The Terms
- £11.50 per hour;
