    Description

    Overview:

    Invicrois the worlds leading translational imaging company based in London(UK) Boston and New Haven (USA). Invicro specialises in molecularand functional imaging studies to support medical andpharmaceutical research. The London site where this role is basedoperates a unique clinical and preclinical imaging centre withstateoftheart PET and MRI technology used to support clinicalresearch.

    We are looking for a Bioanalyst to runday to day analysis of biological samples in order to support thequantitative analysis of PET imaging data (clinical andpreclinical) and to develop analytical methods for metaboliteanalysis.

    EssentialFunctions:

    • To deliverday to day analysis of biological samples including blood/plasmausing a range of analytical techniques.
    • Todevelop metabolite analysis methods for PET radiopharmaceuticalsusing HPLC/SPE.
    • To ensure compliance withBioanalysis laboratories and the appropriate regulatoryrequirements in the UK.
    • To support the dailyoperations within the Bioanalysis Labs.
    • Tosupport the other laboratories in the routine analysis of sampleswhen required.
    • Other duties asassigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Sc. in a relevant subject with demonstrated ability todevelop analytical chemistry methods.
    • Goodknowledge of analytical chemistry systems especially HighPerformance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) including equipmenttroubleshooting.
    • Good analytical and technicalskills sets are preferred.
    • Experience inworking with ionising radiation in PET or related applications ispreferred.
    • Good understanding of metabolicpathways and/or pharmacological principles arepreferred.
    • Ability to work alone or in a teamenvironment.
    • Excellent integration within theteam and with other member of staff for the labactivities.
    • Proactive and logical approach toproblem solving and attention to detail.
    • Ability to independently generate collate evaluatediscuss and draw conclusions from experimental data.
    • Ability to cope with work in a stressfulenvironment.
    • Excellent time management skillsand flexibility to accommodate clinical schedule and lastminutechanges.
    • Ability to provide analysed dataeffectively whenever required by the Line Manager.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills inorder to interact and communicate with otherdepartments.
