    Fabric Maintenance Engineer - Shifts

    The Role

    A new opportunity has risen for a Fabric Maintenance Engineer to join our team.

    The role will look provide PPM and reactive maintenance on site at WestQuay shopping centre, Southampton. Forming part of a wider collection of Hammerson shopping centres.


    Maintaining an extensive range of equipment to keep the site operating with minimal downtime, optimal performance and to prolong the lifetime of each asset, you will join this vibrant team of skilled professionals to develop your career with a scope for additional training to upskill and progress within Integral.


    This is a customer facing role so strong communication skills are a must, along with having a professional approach to work and a can-do attitude.


    The role will include working on a rota basis (early, late and Weekend shifts) with our in-house team of engineers, maintaining, servicing assets such as doors, water/drainage and walls/ceilings, along with assisting your fellow colleagues.

    The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role for a building services company.

    Desirable Qualifications


    • Plumbing
    • MEWP - IPAF 3a/3b/1b
    • Fire door inspection/installation
    • Legionella / L8 Qualification
    • CSCS Card
    • IPAF/PASMA
    • City & Guild or NVQ in Carpentry
    • IOSH Working Safely
    • COSHH awareness/training
    • Time Served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in a Carpentry & Joinery
    Additional training will be provided for site requirements

    Experience and skills.


    • Possess building services skills along with experience in commercial fault finding and rectification.
    • Knowledge of drainage systems.
    • Good all-round knowledge of waste pumps, pipework install & repairs.
    • Good interpersonal & communicating skills, flexible approach to work/client requirements.
    • Good organisational skills and a positive attitude.
    • Logical thinker in fault finding situations.
    • Comfortable working within a team environment. Able to contribute to group success and able to take direction from supervisors.
    • Able to work unsupervised & independently.
    • Self-motivated.
    • Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements, willing to accept change.
    • Basic IT skills & knowledge of CAFM systems
    • Excellent interpersonal skill and attention to detail.
    • Experience and competence in relevant Health & Safety requirements
    • Proven knowledge and understanding of building fabric/construction and have experience of working within, Corporate, Commercial environment.
