    Description
    Test Engineer - Electrical and Mechanical

    Salary to £42,000


    Are you a great all-round test engineer with electrical and mechanical skills? Are you seeking a varied and challenging test position which draws on your knowledge and experiences.


    An opportunity has arisen to join a cutting edge manufacturing business providing high-value capital equipment to the aerospace, defense, electric vehicle (EV), automotive and renewable energy sectors.


    The ideal candidate will have experience as a test engineer and will have knowledge of electrical systems, electronics, control systems and mechanical testing.

    May have previously been a test engineer, field service engineer or development engineer.

    Package

    £40,000-£42,000
    38 basic weekly hours working within/between the hours 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
    27 days holiday plus all public holidays.

    The role

    Testing electrical systems within equipment at build stage through to customer installation and hand-over
    Mechanical System Testing; Pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum, dimensional and positional measurements
    Following established test procedures
    Electrical system fault finding and identifying fix - control voltages up to 3 phase mains
    Reading and interpreting electrical drawings
    PCB Testing, ideally to component level
    Software system fault finding. Methodically test and clearly report functional issues.
    Occasional travel to customer sites for installationsYou

    Experience in an electrical / electronic testing role, either as a test engineer or development engineer. Or would suit a service engineer keen to significantly reduce travel.
    Ability to use and maintain test equipment
    Working knowledge in some of the following disciplines;- Systems Control Techniques

    • Electronics (Digital & Analogue), PCBs
    • Motion Control Systems
    • Electrical System (Mains & Low Voltage)
    • High Voltage systems
