    Due to growth, Clyde Training Solutions, part of Northern Marine Group has an opportunity for a Senior Medical Instructor to join their team in Clydebank. The role is critical to Clyde Training Solutions offering of medical based courses, across Maritime, Oil and Gas and Renewables. Working directly with the Team Lead, the individual will take responsibilities of course delivery and co-ordination of the delivery of all medical courses and be the focal point for gaining/maintaining new and existing approvals.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource and subject matter expert (medical) for the development and analysis of existing and developmental training materials, medical response processes, and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Delivering to and assessing learners against industry approved courses (OPITO, STCW, GWO, HSE & Bespoke).
  • Co-ordinate internal and external resources (when required) to deliver medical courses.
  • Support the operational requirements of the Team Lead.
  • Maintain training locations with respect to safety and tidiness, including classroom & practical working areas.
  • Ensuring stock levels of consumable items are accounted for, and new orders are processed in a timely manner. This includes periodic stock checks of first aid provisions across all sites.
  • Carryout periodic assessments and detailed timelines of CTS staff responses during drills and exercises. This will also include facilitating periodic first aid training with all staff 'designated first aiders.
  • Work in a mentoring capacity with other instructors within the CTS business, to drive increased proficiency within the team and upskill in new areas.
  • Monitor course delivery, progress, and quality of services.
  • Work in compliance with and participate in the review/audit of company Quality Management Systems as well as the Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Maintain a high level of CPD across all areas of discipline.

  • Candidate Requirements

    Essential

  • Current Medical registration with GMC or equivalent
  • NMC current registration to practice as an RGN or equivalent
  • Paramedic with current registration with Health Professionals Council or equivalent
  • Ability to tailor communication style
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relations
  • Highly organised
